MAYOR THUTLWE EXPRESSES CONCERN ON THE USE OF GAS CYLINDERS BY SOME VENDORS
Gaborone City Council Mayor Kagiso Thutlwe has expressed concern on the usage of gas cylinders by some vendors saying it is a health hazard to their lives as well as the public and environment.
Speaking last night on Dumafm Thutlwe said although his office does not have the power to stop vendors from selling their goods, they are strongly against the use of gas cylinders hence the decision to confiscate them.
He said any goods other than the gas cylinders are not to be impounded.
Mayor Thutlwe further urged all those who have had their goods confiscated other than the gas cylinders to seek assistance at his office as it would be against the law.
